Corporate Event Photography in Kuala Lumpur
Some moments happen once. A handshake between two chief executives, a chairman's reaction to a presentation, the applause at the end of a launch — none of it can be staged again afterwards. Corporate event photography is the discipline of being in the right place, with the right lens, before it happens.
AVS covers corporate events across Kuala Lumpur, the Klang Valley and throughout Malaysia. We work with multinationals, government-linked corporations, professional services firms and the event agencies who manage them.

How we work
-
Nobody at a corporate event is there to be photographed. They're there to work. A photographer who directs people, interrupts proceedings or plants themselves in a sightline changes the event they were hired to document — and produces stiff, self-conscious pictures for the trouble.
We shoot from the edges of the room. The expressions worth having are the ones that happen when people have forgotten there's a camera present.
-
Fast events don't allow lens changes. By the time you've swapped, the moment has gone.
We work with two bodies — one wide, one long — and switch between cameras instead. The wide lens handles tight rooms and the group photograph that every corporate event eventually requires. The long lens isolates people: shot at a wide aperture, your chairman is sharp and the cables, chairs, projector screens and other people's shoulders fall away into soft colour behind them.
That separation is the difference between an image your communications team publishes and one that sits unused in a folder.
-
Indoor corporate venues are darker than they feel. Ballrooms, meeting rooms and control centres are lit for people, not cameras.
We shoot with fast glass, which keeps shutter speeds high enough to freeze an expression at sensitivities clean enough to survive a full-width website banner or a printed annual report. Clarity is not a luxury on corporate work — it decides whether an image can actually be used.
-
At a bilateral meeting or a joint function, a beautiful frame of your principal with the visiting delegate soft in the background is a failed photograph. It will never be published, because it only serves one side.
We shoot key moments so that both parties are sharp and both organisations can use the image. It sounds obvious. It is routinely missed.

Why clients choose us
We understand protocol. We work regularly with government-linked corporations, including national transport, healthcare and regulatory organisations. Closed-door sessions, security clearance, seating protocol, who must appear in which frame — we've done it, and we don't need to be managed through it.
We plan the access, not just the shoot. For corporate towers and secured facilities we recce the site beforehand: loading bay location, lift access, permits, security sign-in, where we'll be positioned. A crew held up at a service entrance is a crew that misses the arrival.
Our images get used. Client work has appeared across corporate websites, annual reports, internal communications and marketing material. That's the actual measure — not how many frames were taken, but how many were good enough to publish.
Looking for headshots at your event instead?
If what you need is a headshot station — a booth where attendees queue for an individual professional portrait, retouched and emailed to them on the spot — that's a different service.
Instant Delivery
Many clients book both: documentary coverage of the programme, plus a headshot booth running alongside it. Mention both at enquiry and we'll quote them together.

Pricing
-
Corporate event coverage starts from RM1,600 for a half-day programme (4hrs) with a single photographer and standard five-working-day delivery.
For fast-moving programmes we recommend two photographers. One holds wide coverage and group shots while the other works the long lens for reactions, so nothing is missed while someone is repositioning. For a single-room programme with a relaxed schedule, one photographer is usually sufficient.
Tell us your date, venue and rough programme and we'll come back with a firm figure.

Final pricing depends on:
Duration of coverage
Number of photographers required
Number of locations or simultaneous sessions
-
400 edited images in High-resolution
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Event photography documents your event as it happens — arrivals, sessions, tours, reactions, group photographs. The headshot booth is a station your guests visit to receive an individual professional portrait. They're different products and can be booked separately or together.
-
For a single-room programme over a few hours, one is usually enough. For fast-moving events, multiple simultaneous sessions, several locations, or large delegations, we recommend two — a second photographer means nothing is missed while the first is repositioning.
-
Standard delivery is five working days for the full edited set. If you need images for a press release or same-day social post, tell us at booking and we'll build a select-and-deliver workflow into the day.
-
It depends on the venue and the session. We're comfortable working entirely with available light where flash would be inappropriate, and our low-light setup is built for exactly that. Where flash is permitted, we use it discreetly.
-
Yes. We work regularly with government-linked organisations and are used to protocol, security clearance and confidential sessions. We ask before publishing anything, and many of our clients' images are never shown publicly.
-
It depends on the length and pace of the programme. As a guide, a three-hour event typically produces several hundred edited images. We deliver the full edited set, not a small selection.
-
Yes. We travel throughout Malaysia. Out-of-state and multi-day programmes are quoted with travel and accommodation included so there are no surprises.
-
Regularly — a significant share of our corporate work comes through planners rather than direct from the end client. We work to your client under your management, quote quickly enough for your proposals, and handle our own site recce and building access.
-
A programme or run sheet, the venue address and access details, a contact on the day, and a short list of must-have shots and people. If the venue has loading bay or security requirements, tell us early so we can arrange access.
